I hiked up to the Hollywood sign which is covered for several days with the words "Save The Peak" to protest plans by Chicago developers to build mansions along the ridge line above the sign. The developers will sell the property to the activists if the groups come up with $12.5 million by April 14. So far $7 million have been raised. The developers paid $1.7 million for the land 8 years ago.
