Support Independent Filmmaking
My friends Bill and Turner Ross are about to premier their new documentary Tchoupitoulas (pronounced "chop-ih-tool-us") at SXSW, where they were awarded best documentary at the 2009 SXSW for their first film 45365 (as well as winning an Independent Spirit Award and a 4 star rating from Roger Ebert). After a bad distribution experience with 45365 they are looking to deal with things deal with things differently with their new film Tchoupitoulas. Their biggest hurdle is the expense of paying for the music rights. They have started a Kickstarter page to help them raise money to cover this expense which you can see here. Support independent filmmaking. Help if you can.
